Sure if you know how to hook your own code to the game and create your own networking server. For an experienced programmer (with experience in creating game `'hacks" and game servers) it should take at a minimum of 2 months to get 2 players together with basic truck physics. If you're looking for all the hard work done, that is not possible.
one thing is computer power on host and also clients if player see more player-grade trucks. but IMO more interesting issue will be net traffic between players. as the basic architecture is p2p the traffic rises with number of players squared. also it would be quite interesting to see if they hacked only the value for test or handled correctly all buffers etc.
